Tether Cable Replacement (Connection Fix)

Breakout Box Repair (HDMI Port Soldering)

•HDMI cable feels loose in the link box port

Homeowner Prevention Guide

For the Rift S, cable management is your best friend. Use an overhead pulley system to keep the tether off the floor and prevent it from kinking. Regularly check the headset's built-in cameras for smudges, as even a small fingerprint can cause tracking 'jitters' or loss of orientation.

Common Issues

Tether Cable Failure (Black Screen/Snow)

Problem: The headset loses connection, shows a black screen, or has 'snow' in the display (static).

Cause: Internal copper wiring breakage caused by repeated twisting or stepping on the cable during play.

At-Home Remedy

Untwist your cable after every session. Use 'Cable Management' pulleys if possible. Once broken, the proprietary cable must be replaced entirely.
