Our Expert Repair Process

Replacing or repairing the Vive Pro 2 tether isn't always as simple as swapping a cord. A severely frayed cable can cause electrical shorts that damage the headset's internal power delivery systems. We carefully remove the front cowling and acoustic modules to access the recessed proprietary ribbon connector. Using an oscilloscope and multimeter, we probe the 12V power rails and high-speed data lines to isolate the exact point of failure. If a shorted tether has damaged the HMD’s internal interface, our technicians perform precision component-level microsoldering. We replace blown SMD capacitors, restore burnt copper traces, and can even repair damaged DisplayPort/USB controller ICs using advanced BGA rework techniques.

Once the board-level circuitry is verified, we install a high-quality replacement tether. We ensure all internal flex cables and ZIF connectors are perfectly seated, applying optimal strain relief to safeguard the port against future pull-out damage.
