Safe Packing Guidelines
Virtual reality headsets contain highly fragile components. Optical lenses, internal tracking cameras, and rigid plastic head straps are easily damaged by carrier sorting machines if not properly insulated.
- Protect the Lenses: Place a microfiber cloth or clean tissue directly over the optical lenses inside the headset. This prevents debris or loose cables from scratching the lenses during transit.
- Box Sizing: Do not force the headset into a box that is too small. Use a sturdy, corrugated cardboard box with at least 2 inches of clearance on all sides of the device.
- Void Fill: Fill all empty space with high-density foam, bubble wrap, or tightly crumpled packing paper. The headset should not shift or move when the box is shaken. Note: Try to avoid packing peanuts, as static electricity can cause them to cling to the lenses and internal components.
- Controllers & Peripherals: If you are sending controllers, wrap them individually in bubble wrap so they do not collide with the headset casing.
What to Include in the Box
Unless instructed otherwise by our technicians:
- DO INCLUDE: The specific broken component (headset, base station, or controller).
- DO NOT INCLUDE: The original retail packaging (we cannot guarantee retail display boxes will be returned, as they are bulky to store).
- DO NOT INCLUDE: Face gaskets, extra facial interfaces, third-party elite straps, or charging docks unless specifically requested for diagnosing power-delivery issues. Keep these accessories safely at home.
Return Shipping
Once the repair is completed and your invoice is paid, we will ship the device back to you. Return shipping options (such as Standard 3-Day or Overnight Express) will be presented to you on your final invoice. We utilize UPS and USPS for return shipping, and all outbound repair packages are fully insured by us.
Turnaround Times
Standard VR controller component faults (like joystick drift) generally take 2-4 business days to clear our bench. Complex headset teardowns (such as Valve Index Error 436 cable replacements, or Vision Pro Glass repairs) generally average 5-7 business days upon receipt, depending on the current bench queue and parts availability.
