The original Oculus Quest revolutionized standalone VR, but years of immersive gameplay often take a heavy toll on its hardware. Once the motherboard is extracted, we place it under a high-magnification stereomicroscope.

Using a precision hot air rework station and high-quality flux, we safely desolder the compromised USB-C receptacle. Because violently yanked cables often rip the copper mounting pads right off the Printed Circuit Board (PCB), we thoroughly inspect the area. If necessary, we perform micro-jumper trace repairs to restore severed data or power lines. We then mount a brand-new, OEM-spec USB-C port, flowing fresh, durable solder to the anchor legs and securing every single hidden pin. Finally, we verify pin continuity, reapply thermal paste to the APU heat shield, and reassemble the headset for rigorous charging and PC VR connection testing.
