Magic Leap 1 & 2 Augmented Reality Repair Experts

RockIT Repairs provides highly specialized, component-level servicing for enterprise spatial computing devices, including both the Magic Leap 1 and the enterprise-focused Magic Leap 2. Built for heavy industry, healthcare, and engineering, these AR headsets separate the computing hardware into an external 'Lightpack' puck. When enterprise warranty SLAs lapse, replacing a complete Magic Leap kit is astronomically expensive. We offer surgical repair solutions for the Lightpack, the optical glasses, and the complex proprietary tethers connecting them.

Magic Leap Lightpack Battery & Logic Board Servicing

The core computing engine of any Magic Leap device is the external computing puck (the Lightpack). Because it handles heavy graphic rendering and spatial mapping, the internal lithium-ion battery degrades notoriously fast, often expanding or refusing to hold a charge. We perform full Lightpack teardowns to replace the internal battery cells with factory-grade equivalents, reapply thermal paste to the customized AMD or Nvidia processors, and repair any damaged USB-C power delivery ports.

AR Waveguide Lens Protection & Sensor Cleaning

The Magic Leap achieves its augmented reality via incredibly fragile internal optical waveguides that bounce light directly into your retinas. While we cannot reconstruct a cracked waveguide, we do offer advanced clean-room servicing to remove dust from the internal eye-tracking cameras, repair the dynamic dimming layer ribbons, and polish the outer protective glass. Ensuring the external spatial mapping and RGB cameras are free from scratches is vital for AR tracking fidelity.

Magnetic Controller Drift & Electromagnetic Shielding

Unlike traditional optical VR controllers, Magic Leap uses electromagnetic (EM) tracking to locate its controller in 3D space relative to the headset. If a controller is dropped, the internal magnetic coils or IMUs can fail, causing the AR pointer to fly wildly across the room. We specialize in opening the Magic Leap 1 and 2 controllers to repair these EM trackers, replace oxidized internal batteries, and microsolder new trackpads or trigger assemblies.
